SUPPLIER EXCELLENCE ALLIANCE (SEA)

The Supplier Excellence Alliance, SEA, is an alliance of aerospace, defense and space prime, tier one and major sub-contractors whose purpose is to accelerate supply chain performance in order to ensure industry competitiveness.
SEA, know that the next step in the evolution of the industry’s competitiveness is an industry-wide collaboration to establish a common lean business systems, it is essential that we do this in order to compete on a global basis.
The basic principles of SEA include:

• Lean Production must be a companywide initiative for suppliers – we can not expect to convert one production line or one work area and achieve success.
• Inventory or other forms of waste moved to any part of the supply chain from any other is still waste and weakens the supply chain as a whole.
• Accelerated lean production progress throughout our supply chain.
• Eliminate the duplication of effort and confusing messages we are sending to suppliers.
• Create a collaborative effort between all primes, major subs, suppliers and service provides.
• Create effective strategies and a shared vision for achieving worldwide competitiveness.
