NYS Department of Labor in cooperation with the Long Island Forum for Technology and CONNECT L.I. is pleased to offer Transformational and Industry Specific Skills Training to employees of companies enabled by the manufacturing sector, and employees of healthcare providers. Unemployed or recently dislocated workers are welcome but need to apply through their regional Workforce Investment Board.
The courses are offered as part of the initial Industry Skills Gap Closure Plan developed as part of the NYS DoL Regional Economic Transformational Strategies Grant.
All training costs are sponsored by NYS DoL and are therefore free of charge. The only cost to the company or individual requesting the training is the company time allotted to the individual(s) for travel and course attendance.
